Celonis has been named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ on Process Mining Platforms for the third time. The company was placed in the Leaders’ Quadrant, being positioned highest on the Ability to Execute axis and furthest on the Completeness of Vision axis.
“We are honored to be named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Process Mining Platforms for the third year in a row,” said Alex Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis in a company press release. “We believe this recognition is a testament to our pioneering product innovation, our system-agnostic Process Intelligence platform, and our impressive global partner network. This recognition wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our customers, partners and Celonauts. Looking ahead, what excites me most is the huge potential for Celonis to enable our customers to maximize the ROI from their AI investments.”

The Celonis Process Intelligence platform uses process mining and augments it with business context to create a living digital twin of the business operations—the Process Intelligence Graph (PI Graph). It’s system-agnostic, without bias, and uses object-centric process mining (OCPM). The PI Graph sits between a company’s raw data and the AI models and AI applications, feeding them the “who, what, when, where, and why” of how each business runs. It gives AI the input it needs to be effective and relevant for the enterprise, and lets people make faster, more informed decisions, and take decisive action to optimize business performance. And Celonis Data Core (the platform’s data stack) makes using data with Celonis easier and enables processing and querying at unparalleled speed and scale.
Because Celonis understands how processes run, it enables companies to maximize the ROI from their AI deployments, regardless of the kind of AI or where they’re building it. Celonis helps companies find use cases with real business value where AI can drive impact. Celonis AgentC APIs and integrations enable companies to develop agents in leading AI platforms. Within Celonis, companies can use pre-built AI apps for common business use cases, build analytical and operational copilots, and create custom AI assistants. Companies can manage AI solutions in Celonis, orchestrating agents alongside existing RPA bots or workflows and monitoring the business improvement and ROI of AI and automation deployments. They can also automate and orchestrate end-to-end processes with Orchestration Engine, a fusion of BPA, RPA, and iPaaS infused with generative AI capabilities.
Using Celonis, companies have developed and deployed agents and assistants that are delivering tangible ROI. For example, a manufacturer of design and architectural surfaces, used Celonis to build an AI Assistant that helps tackle blocked sales orders and makes their team more efficient. A legendary Italian spirits company developed an AI-powered collaboration agent to expedite blocked sales orders. Global packaging giant Smurfit Westrock used the PI Graph and large language model (LLM)-based analysis to harmonize its master data, creating a foundation for AI-driven inventory management. With this, the company built a copilot in Celonis that enables plant technicians to see spare part inventory levels in surrounding plants, allowing them to leverage stock transfers rather than ordering from suppliers.
“Celonis gives us a roadmap for AI. It enables us to validate AI opportunities and maximize the impact of AI on our operations,” said Brian Dodson, Business Process Improvement Manager and Celonis Center of Excellence lead at Smurfit Westrock. “Using an AI copilot, fueled with Celonis’ unique process intelligence, we’re managing parts inventories across our global facilities more effectively. This is possible because Celonis enables us to harmonize data across our different systems, increasing efficiency, delivering enhanced value to our customers and driving sustainability.”
Many business processes aren’t restricted to a single company however. Processes, such as modern supply chains, involve multiple suppliers and customers. Optimizing these processes requires a solution that drives process improvement across company boundaries. Celonis Networks does just that. It goes beyond traditional data exchange technologies, like electronic data interchange (EDI), APIs, and email to create a new level of shared process transparency between organizations. Networks enables every process, within and across companies, to be optimized.
Fueling Celonis’ pipeline of innovation are the company’s dedicated Celonauts, customer co-creation initiatives, and its extensive partner ecosystem. In the past year alone, Celonis welcomed more than 150 new partners from around the world. Over a 100 customers built AI solutions for real-world business problems at Celonis’ one-day AI Lab hackathons. And through its Academic Alliance Program, Celonis works with 700 partner institutions across 50 countries, supports more than 350,000 academic Celonis users, and has more than 4,000 classrooms that use Celonis.
