Alexander Rinke, Bastian Nominacher and Martin Klenk Nominated for the Federal President's Award for Innovation in Science and Technology

The Munich- and New York-based unicorn is the first finalist in the category for software and algorithm-based innovation

Germany, Munich – 11 September 2019 – The founders of Celonis, the market leader for Enterprise Performance Acceleration, have been nominated for the German Federal President's Award for Innovation in Science and Technology 2019 with the Process Mining technology that it pioneered. The Munich- and New York-based unicorn is the first-ever software and algorithm-based innovation to be nominated for this award.

The President’s Award is a national competition that honors outstanding technological innovations and is awarded by the German president. The nomination has been preceded by a multi-stage selection process through a distinguished jury from both science and business industries. Celonis was nominated in recognition of its scientific and technical achievements in developing Process Mining technology, and its success in building commercial success from customer adoption across multiple industries. Furthermore, the Celonis Process Mining technology is expected to make a substantial contribution to the future of the workforce and drive value creation in business.

The jury consists of experts from industry and science. The winning team of the award will be announced in an official award ceremony in Berlin on November 27, 2019.
